In Nepal they have made new rule for climbers of mount everest do the large amount of trash that has been left on the mountain. Mountain climbers are required to pick up atleast 18 pounds worth of garbage on the way back down from climbing everest hoping this will clear up the mountain.
In Russia, there are very strict laws against gay people. When the Winter Olympics were held there this year, almost every country made it a point to show that they supported gay rights. This was necessary because taking away a person's rights is dehumanizing and against everything, we, as a planet, believe in.
In Colorado, they legalized the distribution and use of marijuana. I believe that it was necessary, as a result of the money involved. Colorado government pulled in $2 million in the first month alone, on taxing the marijuana. They also gained money for not having to regulate, control, and policing of the marijuana.
These are all excellent examples of change motivated by neccessity. I'm impressed that you all found such specifc stories from around the world. Very impressed... :)
There has been a man who has remained a general for many years, but his previous charges were brought up and it caused some conflict with his job. He had sexual assault charges and it was brought to a judge and he was finally dismissed.
A teenager in New Jersey is sueing her parents for financial support because they kicked her out of the house 2 days before her 18th birthday. The kid was being disrespectful and wouldn't obey normal rules like keeping curfew and daily chores.
